How to download update from Any computer connected to Internet.
sometimes we want to update kaspersky on a computer which is not connected to net. so this is how you can download updates from a computer which is connected to net and then update kaspersky on any computer.
The stand-alone update utility Updater.exe has been developed to update all necessary databases and application modules for Kaspersky Lab applications. The utility can be run manually from any computer with the Internet connection or from a flash drive which is connected to the computer connected to the Internet.
All necessary download settings are defined in an ini file which by default resides in the folder with the Updater.exe utility. If you find it more convenient you can configure the configuration file and launch the download process via the graphic interface (GUI) of the update utility.
To do it:
1. Download the archive with the update utility and with the GUI - KLUpdater.zip [ZIP, 1.8MB].
2. Unpack it into the folder on any computerconnected to the Internet
3. In order to reduce the size of the downloaded traffic during the first launch of the utility you can (THIS IS NOT OBLIGATORY) use already downloaded bases from the computer with any Kaspersky Lab application installed. To do it:
3.1. Create a folder Temp in the folder with the unpacked utility
3.2. Depending on the Kaspersky Lab application installed on the computer perform the following:
If Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations or Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers is installed, copy the entire folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP6\Data\Updater\Temporary Files\temporaryFolder into the created Temp folder.
If Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 or Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 is installed, copy the entire folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\Data\Updater\Temporary Files\temporaryFolder into the created Temp folder.
If Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 is installed, copy the entire folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7\Data\Updater\Temporary Files\temporaryFolder into the created Temp folder.
If Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 is implemented in the network, create a subfolder temporaryFolder in the Temp folder. Next, copy the folders listed below from the computer with the installed Administration Server into the folder Temp\temporaryFolder:
Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\Share\Updates\AutoPatches;
Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\Share\Updates\bases;
Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\Share\Updates\index.
4. Run the file KasperskyUpdater.exe. Check boxes for the applications you wish to update.
Check Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 box, if Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 will be updating from the created folder.
5. Go to the tab Settings and Service and define the connection and other settings (as necessary)

6. Click the Apply button to add the defined settings into the configuration file.
7. Click the Start button to start a download process.
You can stop the download process by clicking the Stop button. When the work of the utility is over the status with which the utility finished its work will be shown in the line above the buttons. Indicator of a successful download is the status (35) Retranslation successful and update is not requested.
Once all necessary updates are downloaded, you can update the selected applications from the created Updates folder.
